Here’s how Corby’s George Street might look if a new leisure and living complex is built
A derelict site in Corby town centre may finally be developed after a building firm made public its plans for the area.
The former Tresham College site in George Street is the subject of a public consultation after developer Mulberry Property put forward plans for a hotel, drive-thru coffee shops and 92 apartments.

Mulberry Developments which were also behind the adjacent cinema and restaurant scheme, say they are in advanced talks with a national hotel group to operate the hotel.
This will be the final step in the completion of the Parkland Gateway scheme, which has been 15 years in the planning.
The plans are going to be put to Corby Council in two parts. Part one encompasses a 70-bedroom hotel with a coffee shop and drive-through facility and 30 parking spaces.

Before the application is submitted to Corby Borough Council planning consultants Pegasus a Group are seeking the views of the local community on the draft proposals. This is not part of the formal planning process - which will begin once the plans are formally submitted to Corby Council.
You can view the plans and comment on them here before June 11.
