Children's Poppy pictures needed to help people who are isolated and lonely in Wellingborough and Rushden
Children are being invited to draw a Poppy picture to help people combat their isolation and loneliness as Remembrance Day approaches.
Nene Valley Community Action (NVCA) runs a befriender project to try and make a difference to isolated people living in Wellingborough and East Northants.

Hide AdBut with many of this year's Remembrance services and events being scaled back or cancelled due to Covid-19, the charity has come up with a way to help people mark the occasion safely from their own homes.
A spokesman for NVCA, which is based in Rushden, said: "Due to Covid, Remembrance parades have been cancelled this year.
"Therefore, why not ask your child to colour a Poppy picture that can be forwarded to our clients?
"They will then display this in their window just like the rainbow drawings.

Pictures can also be sent directly to Nene Valley Community Action, 7, West Street, Rushden, NN10 0RT, by Thursday, November 5.
